Music Weekend at Bulldog!

Part of the Ave's Summer Music Festival (August 5th-August 13th and due to the efforts of Bulldog barista Camilla, we will have live music this upcoming weekend.  

Friday the 12th you can hear  The Rain City Sodbusters (bluegrass)

Saturday the 13th, Kaitlin Morrison will sing.

Last Street Fair was a lot of fun, the sun came out, a guitar player was singing in front, spontaneously a passing oboist joined in, and Bulldog's baristas sang too!  

If you haven't been by lately, we still have plenty of magazines.   Magazines come and go, but there are always new ones showing up optimistically in search of an audience. 

Our cafe now has small tables with chairs, a pleasant respite with pastry and your espresso drink or fresh squeezed lemonade.   We have yummy sandwiches from Molly's and Equal Exchange has just added a new chocolate bar to our line up, the sea salt caramel.  And if you just want a little chocolate, there are always the cute little 25cent chocolate bites.





Gloria has ordered more t-shirts, so we should have a fresh batch of spring colors in, and she has a lovely selection of cards, many by local artists and photographers.

Cafe: New from Molly's!

Now I have really enjoyed the new Molly's Sandwich, Slawsome!  ("This sandwich is freaking rad.  It's got tender perfectly pulled BBQ pork, and a burly helping of tangy, green cabbage slaw to give it some savage flavor") and I can tell you that I tried it because while I'm not a big BBQ fan, DM is.  The slaw was fresh and tangy, just like slaw should be, not sad and slimy, and the bbq was delightful.  We both loved it, but we made the mistake of eating it at home in front of the Dog and the Cats.  Boss Cat and Big Dog jockeyed for prime begging position, keeping a sharp eye on each other, while keeping melting eyes and maximum cuteness expressions towards the Humans.  Even Wary of the Dog Cat came out and made sure that we knew that she also thought the Slawsome smelled Awesome.

Alas, Slawsome is no more, but luckily, Molly's is introducing something new (which is one of the nice things about them, something tried and true, something new and potentially delightful),  the Chicken Curry Wrap.

15th Ave NE Construction - Cafe Hours Change

If you've come in on the weekend, you may have had your route changed by the construction on 15th Ave NE, if you haven't run into it already, 15th Ave NE is closed for construction Saturday and Sunday daytime until June!  What a hassle, but that street really needed some smoothing out.

While the construction is going on,  the espresso stand will be closed on the weekends.

We will have complementary drip coffee for our customers, and the two computers will still be available for you to drop in and check your email.

Barista News: Camila has an internship
