Beyoncé & L'Officiel

L'Officiel, Beyoncé cover

L'Officiel came in, I didn't notice at first, but I was finding a spot for a stack of new fashion magazines and I noticed Beyoncé is on cover. And if you look inside there is quite the eye-catching photo shoot of her inside, African influenced fashions including a design by her mother.  I said Wow!  the cover says Wow, and John H said Wow!

(You can also see in the photo three of the L'Officiel 1000 Models semi-annual magazines, pricier but with all photos, only or two ads, and minimal text. )

Back to Beyoncé!  The photo spread has generated some controversy, as in some photos Beyoncé's face has been darkened.  Perhaps I should have chosen one of the controversial photos, or perhaps you will have to hurry in and buy or browse your own copy of the magazine.

SFX Collections - It's Torchwood!

Around the corner from the Science, Nature, and Business magazines, above Computers, Gadgets and Pop Culture, between the Unexplained and Theater, you will find the Movie, Films, and TV portion of the Media section.  And there you might find the current issue of SFX Collections.  This issue is the Best of British Sci-Fi 2011, and right in front is that ambiguous voracious hero Captain Jack of Torchwood.  Does this mean there will be new episodes soon?  Does Russell Davies reveal all?  And what about Red Dwarf?

Flanking SFX, new fashion magazines for the future future season, Gap Press Accessories and Pret-a-Porter for Paris/London collections and/or Milan/New York.  Lots of glossy pictures, no space wasted on ads.  Only the good stuff.
